Transfer/non-degree Credit Policy

GW may accept a maximum of nine hours of graduate work, provided it meets ALL of the following criteria:

It was taken at an accredited college or university
It has been approved as part of the student's program of study
It was completed within the last five years
It was passed with a grade of "B" or better
It has not been used to fulfill the requirements of another degree program

Students should pursue transfer credit upon admission to GW.
