The George Washington University (GW) is ranked highly in the U.S. News and World Report for online graduate education programs in 2012. The Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD) at GW was ranked in three of four categories:


- #8 for admissions selectivity
- #30 for student engagement and accreditation
- #40 for student services and technology
GSEHD was also named to the Top Online Education Degrees Honor Role, which recognized programs that were ranked in the top one-third for three out of four quality indicators.
